Feeling content

Hello again!

Welcome to another issue of Lunic Philosophy. It has been a while since I wrote something, but I have been busy building up my contentment.

Feeling content with what is

Sometimes contentment can be perceived as a "lukewarm" feeling, which means it's not necessarily a "good feeling". I want to ask a question though: isn't contentment a foundation of any other good feeling? I would say it is.

To be really happy, you need to feel content in life. It's a foundational feeling for the really big feelings. A ground to stand on. "Foundational feelings" are not less than those grand things we feel at times, quite the opposite. Without them would nothing really work!?

Are you content? Why do you think you are or if you answered that you are not, why is that? Ask yourself this feeling regularly.

Main takeaways

  • Contentment is the foundation for "bigger feelings".
  • Feeling content is important, just as any other feeling.
  • You should ask yourself if you're content now and then, just to check in with yourself.

See you next time!

xx
